Train spotting

Norton Bridge...1960

NORTON BRIDGE was only about an hours drive from my then home at Halesowen, 7 miles west of Birmingham. So providing I could twist my father's arm to let me use his car, it was an ideal location to aim for on a Summer Saturday. In fact I had done it once in 1959, and this was the first of two Saturday visits in 1960. So myself and my brother made for our usual spot, the up side embankment adjacent to milepost 138, almost a mile south of Norton Bridge station.
