Rugby 2003 & 2004

In addition to the traffic passing through the station, Rugby had the additional advantage of having bay platforms at each end of the station that were used as loco storage sidings. The north end down side bay was, and is, used by Virgin West Coast "Rescue" locos. Inter City liveried 47826 seemed to be a regular, though eventually 57/3's took over.

The photographs below show the wide locomotive variety to be seen.
