Stafford 2003

In 2003, most Cross Country services were in the hands of the Voyagers, with the occasional HST. West Coast Main Line services were still in the hands of the trusted Class 87 and Class 90 Electrics. Virgin Trains were now responsible for the running of the station, and had painnted everything in sight bright red. And spotters still came from far and wide to visit. The second photo, below, shows a typical group of spotters. by 2004, Freight, Freightliner, and Intermodal services continued to provide a variety of motive power, and class 66's came in red (EWS), green (Freightliner), and blue (DRS and GBRF).
