was an important year for the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway. For
on Saturday 12th April, the extension to Cheltenham Racecourse was
opened. And, by co-operation with the North York Moors Railway, the
first public train was hauled by Schools class 4-4-0 no 30925
Cheltenham, albeit 30926 Reption renamed and renumbered for the
        occasion.

Needless to say that I travelled on
the opening train. Also operating was GW 2-8-0 no 3822.

My next visit was on 11th May 2003,
when I travelled on 3822 and 6412, the latter a visiting loco from the
        West Somerset Railway.

My final visit in 2003 was on 11th
July, the Friday of the Summer Diesel Week. I travelled behind 24081,
        47105, D8137, 37215, and 37324. | |
